General Manager – Civil (execution)

Job Description

Job Purpose:



To lead and manage the execution of multiple large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality excellence, and cost efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise, multi-site coordination skills, and senior leadership experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Project Execution Management



Oversee end-to-end execution of civil works across assigned real estate projects. Ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and approved project plans. Drive timely milestone completion while maintaining quality and safety standards. Monitor progress and implement corrective measures when required.

2. Resource Planning & Deployment



Plan manpower, materials, and equipment allocation across multiple sites. Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors to ensure timely material availability. Optimize resource utilization to avoid delays or excess costs.

3. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance



Implement QA/QC standards across all projects. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to safety guidelines. Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.

4. Cost Control & BOQ Management



Track project expenditures vs. BOQ and ensure cost control. Verify and certify measurements, quantities, and contractor bills. Support budgeting, cost optimization, and value engineering processes.

5. Team Leadership & Coordination



Lead a team of site engineers, supervisors, and contractors. Conduct review meetings to assess progress and resolve execution issues. Facilitate strong coordination between project, procurement, design, and senior management teams.

6. Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination



Interact with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and external agencies. Provide technical guidance for resolving site challenges. Maintain professional communication with internal/external stakeholders.

7. Reporting & Documentation



Maintain accurate project records including DPRs, QA/QC reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare and present MIS and progress reports to senior management.

8. Site Monitoring & Risk Management



Conduct frequent site visits for real-time monitoring. Identify potential risks, delays, and bottlenecks; implement preventive/corrective actions.

Educational Qualification:



B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience:



20+ years of experience in civil construction. 8-10 years in senior leadership/execution roles. Experience in large real estate projects, high-rise buildings, or multi-storey construction.

Candidates currently based in Mumbai are preferred

(due to exposure to high-rise, premium projects).

Key Skills & Competencies:



Strong expertise in civil execution and project delivery Leadership and multi-project management BOQ, budgeting, and cost control expertise Deep understanding of construction methodology, quality, and safety standards Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Familiarity with ERP and project management tools (Farvision, MS Project, etc.)

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
