The General Manager will serve as the strategic and operational custodian of the organization, entrusted with translating vision into performance. This role demands executive maturity, commercial foresight, and the ability to orchestrate complex, multi-departmental operations while safeguarding profitability, governance, and long-term growth.
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Provide overarching leadership across manufacturing, sales, finance, HR, procurement, and administration
Formulate and execute business strategies aligned with shareholder and board objectives
Drive operational excellence through process optimization, cost rationalization, and productivity enhancement
Ensure seamless coordination between plant operations and commercial functions
Establish performance metrics, governance frameworks, and executive reporting systems
Financial & Commercial Stewardship
Own P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and margin enhancement
Strengthen revenue pipelines through key client engagement and market expansion
Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and risk management
Ensure fiscal discipline, compliance, and robust internal controls
Governance, Compliance & Reputation
Ensure adherence to statutory, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Act as the principal representative of the organization with clients, authorities, vendors, and strategic partners
Uphold the company's brand, credibility, and institutional reputation
People & Culture Leadership
Build, mentor, and inspire senior leadership and high-performance teams
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Drive succession planning and leadership development
Ideal Profile
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Management; MBA preferred
12-18 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, or steel-based industries
Proven track record in large-scale operations, business growth, and P&L ownership
Strong exposure to EPC, industrial projects, or government-approved infrastructure businesses preferred
