The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, growth, and profitability of the automobile business. This role involves strategic planning, sales and service management, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The GM will play a key role in driving business performance, managing dealership operations, and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations:
Oversee daily dealership/plant operations including sales, service, spare parts, finance, and administration.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue, profit, and market share goals.
Monitor inventory levels, supply chain, and procurement processes.
Sales & Marketing:
Drive vehicle sales, aftermarket services, and accessory sales.
Develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
Ensure effective customer engagement and retention strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism.
Ensure consistent after-sales support and brand loyalty.
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Control costs and optimize profitability across departments.
Monitor and ensure achievement of financial KPIs.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, motivate, and mentor department heads and staff.
Recruit, train, and develop employees to improve performance.
Foster a performance-driven and customer-centric culture.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to manufacturer guidelines, government regulations, and safety standards.
Implement quality control and audit processes.
Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and environmental standards.
