Job Title: General Ledger Senior Associate



Location: Bangalore (Hybrid Mode)



Experience Range: 8-11 Years



About the Role




We are seeking an experienced and driven General Ledger (GL) Senior Associate to join our Global Finance Shared Services team in Bangalore. This hybrid position is ideal for a finance professional with 6-9 years of relevant experience in maintenance and accounting for both tangible and intangible assets, payroll/compensation accounting, and global reconciliation processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records and facilitating seamless finance operations across international entities.

Key Responsibilities



Maintenance & Accounting of Assets: Oversee accounting and reconciliation of all General Ledger Accounts (GLAs) and Balance Sheet (BS) accounts related to tangible and intangible assets, including fixed assets, goodwill, and compliance with IFRS 16. Payroll & Compensation Accounting: Post payroll and compensation entries (including bonuses, benefits, and holiday accruals), and ensure all related GLAs and BS accounts are accurately reconciled. Bank and Cash Postings & AR/AP Matching: Manage bank and cash postings, and perform Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) matching as needed. Factoring File Uploads & BNP Portal Administration: Handle the administration of factoring file uploads and maintain BNP portal processes efficiently. External Debt Maintenance & Accounting: Maintain and account for all external debt, with periodic reconciliation of associated GLAs and BS accounts. Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Accounting: Maintain and account for transfer pricing and intercompany accounts, ensuring robust reconciliation of all relevant GLAs and BS accounts. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and company policies, and support audit processes with accurate documentation and timely responses. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless financial processes. Accountability: Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliverables with a strong sense of integrity and reliability. Cash Flow Reporting: Prepare and analyze periodic cash flow reports to support liquidity planning and decision-making. Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing accounting processes to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Attention to Detail: Ensure high accuracy in financial postings and reconciliations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred. 6-9 years of hands-on experience in global finance shared services, particularly in GL accounting and reconciliation. Strong working knowledge of tangible and intangible assets accounting, payroll/compensation entries, and AR/AP operations. Experience with IFRS 16, fixed assets, goodwill, external debt, transfer pricing, and intercompany accounting. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with BNP portals or similar platforms is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
