Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that the fitness studio remains clean, hygienic, and welcoming for all members and staff throughout the day. This role includes maintaining workout areas, locker rooms, restrooms, reception, and common spaces, ensuring they meet the studio's health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of gym floors, mirrors, equipment, mats, and high-touch surfaces. Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, showers, washrooms, and rest areas at all times. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste safely and regularly. Restock supplies such as soap, sanitizers, tissues, and cleaning products. Deep-clean studio areas including steam/sauna rooms (if applicable). Wipe down and sanitize gym equipment regularly throughout the shift. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to prevent dust, sweat, and odor buildup. Report maintenance issues (broken equipment, leaks, electrical faults, etc.) to management. Follow safety and hygiene protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and signed off during the shift. Provide courteous assistance to members when required.

Qualifications

Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred, ideally in gyms, spas, hotels, or commercial spaces. Ability to work long shifts (12 hours) with physical stamina for continuous cleaning duties. Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment, disinfectants, and safety procedures. Attention to detail and ability to maintain hygiene standards in high-traffic areas. Ability to work independently and proactively.

Work Conditions

Full-time, 12-hour shift (may include weekends/holidays). Exposure to cleaning agents, waste, and workout-related odors. Uniform/PPE required as per studio policy. Physically demanding role with regular lifting, bending, and long hours on feet.

Consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards across all studio areas. Timely execution of daily and deep-cleaning tasks. Member satisfaction and positive feedback on cleanliness. Compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
