Key Responsibilities

Emergency Care:

Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate treatment and stabilization to patients.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and prescriptions.

Patient Monitoring:

Monitor inpatients and ongoing treatments to ensure care continuity.

Collaboration:

Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and high-quality care.

Documentation:

Document patient progress and medical records accurately.

Shift Management:

Oversee medical activities during their shift, ensuring smooth operations and patient safety.

Consultation:

Obtain informed consent, order appropriate referrals and investigations (labs, radiology), and interpret results.
Qualifications and Skills

Education:

A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and completion of a rotating internship or residency program are required.

Licensure:

A valid medical license to practice in the jurisdiction of the facility.

Clinical Skills:

Strong diagnostic and clinical skills are essential for making quick, sound decisions.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.

Work Environment:

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including night, weekend, and holiday shifts
