Job Description

This is full-time on-site role for a Gemologist at IGI. Rigorously examine, identify, and grade loose diamonds (polished and rough) and mounted jewelry according to the 4Cs (Carat Weight, Color, Clarity, Cut) and IGI's established grading protocols. Accurately identify natural, synthetic, and treated gemstones using standard and advanced gemological equipment. Assess and document various characteristics such as fluorescence, symmetry, polish, and internal/external features. Conduct thorough quality checks on graded stones to ensure consistency and adherence to IGI's strict standards before certification. Maintain meticulous records of all analyses, observations, and grading decisions in the laboratory's tracking system. Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
