GeM SALES COORDINATOR / INSIDE CLOSER

Government e-Marketplace | Institutional Sales Support

Location

Sahihabad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh (Office-based preferred)

Reporting To

GeM Operations Manager / Head - B2B

Employment Type

Full-time (Probation: 3 months)

ROLE PURPOSE

To convert GeM enquiries and live orders into completed, rated, and paid transactions by:

Fast buyer follow-ups

Clean coordination with ops, factory & accounts

Zero miss on SLAs and communication

This is NOT field sales.

This is inside execution & closure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Buyer Communication & Follow-ups

Primary SPOC for Govt/PSU buyers on:

Clarifications, timelines, specs

Delivery updates & extensions

Maintain daily follow-up discipline

Ensure buyer confidence till order closure

Order Closure & Rating

Coordinate dispatch confirmations

Upload proofs as required

Politely request ratings post-delivery

Track order completion end-to-end

Internal Coordination

Work closely with:

GeM Ops Manager (listings/bids)

Factory & logistics (dispatch)

Accounts (invoice/payment follow-ups)

Flag risks early (delivery delays, spec mismatch)

Pipeline Hygiene

Maintain a clean pipeline tracker:

Lead ? Quote ? Order ? Dispatch ? Rating ? Payment

Ensure no buyer is left unattended

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

MUST HAVE

1-4 years experience in:

Government / PSU sales support

Institutional inside sales

E-procurement coordination

Strong phone & email communication

Comfortable with documentation & follow-ups

GOOD TO HAVE

Prior exposure to GeM / e-procurement

Experience in apparel / furniture / appliances / IT / solar

NOT SUITABLE IF

Only field sales background

Avoids calling buyers

Dislikes process & reporting

COMPENSATION

?25,000 - ?45,000 per month

Performance incentive after probation (linked to closures & ratings)
