to manage and oversee all Government e-Marketplace (GeM) operations. The ideal candidate will handle GEM product listings, tender management, bid submissions, compliance documentation, order processing, and end-to-end coordination with internal teams, buyers, and OEMs. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, communication abilities, and hands-on working experience on the GeM portal.
Upload products on the GEM Portal by arranging and verifying necessary information: technical details, MRP, offer price, Manufacturer Authorization Certificate, product brochures, MRP documents, product images, etc.
Add Brand/OEM name on GEM using required trademark certificates.
Respond to and resolve Gem Admin queries for uploaded products and ensure approval.
2. Tender Management
Search and track relevant tenders using tender numbers or appropriate keywords.
Conduct internal discussions with teams regarding tender requirements, product availability, pricing, and qualification strategy (including L1 analysis).
Prepare comprehensive bid documents including technical bids, payment terms, warranty details, compliance sheets, declarations, annexures, bid checklists, Make in India documents, service centre details, etc.
Respond to clarifications raised by buyers in active tenders.
Participate in reverse auctions and ensure timely and accurate submission.
3. Order Processing & Documentation
Review orders received on the GEM portal and coordinate for smooth processing.
Arrange for EMDs or Performance Bank Guarantees as required by tender conditions.
Generate GEM invoices by submitting tax invoice details, e-way bill, and courier information.
Track dispatch status and inform customers after product delivery.
Follow up with customers and departments for timely payment release.
4. Customer & Internal Coordination
Provide support to customers in understanding tender release processes and documentation.
Coordinate internally with sales, technical, accounts, logistics, and OEM teams to ensure seamless tender participation and order execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate in any field (MBA preferred).
Minimum
3-5 years of hands-on experience
managing GeM portal operations.
Strong knowledge of tender processes, documentation, and government procurement guidelines.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders, timelines, and documentation simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office and online tender platforms.
