Job Description

The GEM Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's existing presence on the GeM portal. This includes listing products/services, handling tender submissions, monitoring enquiries and contracts, and ensuring compliance and accuracy of all information. The role demands a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a busy environment and possesses a sharp mind for data and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities



Register and maintain the company and product/service profiles on the GeM portal; ensure all data (specifications, pricing, documents) is up to date and error-free. Create and manage listings of goods/services, uploading correct technical specifications, compliance certificates, images, pricing and category details. Monitor incoming tender notifications on GeM, assess eligibility and coordinate submission of bids or quotes in adherence with timelines and guidelines. Coordinate with internal teams (sales, production, quality, finance) to gather accurate data for listings and tenders (e.g., product specs, certification, capacity, delivery lead-time, pricing). Track tender status, follow up on enquiries or clarifications, maintain records of submissions, responses, order awards and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with GeM portal rules and government procurement policies (e.g., data accuracy, country of origin declarations). GST Suvidha Kendra+1 Generate regular reports on portal performance: listings live, enquiries received, tender conversion rate, orders won, pipeline value. Assist in improving the listing and tender process: suggest improvements for higher visibility, better response rate, faster turnaround.

Skills & Experience Required



Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience (or more) working in tender & procurement functions or with GeM portal listing preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation. Comfortable working with deadlines in a dynamic, busy environment. Good communication skills (written & verbal) to liaise across teams and respond to portal queries. Basic proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn portal systems quickly. Proactive mindset, able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple items (listings, tenders, follow-up) simultaneously.
