Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Gear Grinder Operator

to join our toolroom team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of hands-on experience operating gear grinding machines and working with precision components. You will be responsible for producing high-accuracy gears according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate gear grinding machines (such as Reishauer, Hofler, or similar). Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and gear specifications. Perform precision grinding operations to finish gears to tight tolerances. Inspect completed gears using measuring tools like micrometers, gear testers, and comparators. Monitor machine performance and adjust settings for optimal output. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding machines. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures. Collaborate with toolroom and quality teams to ensure product accuracy and performance.

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience operating gear grinding machines in a toolroom or precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and grinding processes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and use precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with machine calibration and basic troubleshooting. Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing/toolroom setting. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with CNC gear grinding machines is an added advantage. Basic understanding of gear metrology. ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade certification.
