Job Description

Designer: The candidate should be responsible to provide professional Irrigation design works, includes preparing maps, bill of materials, components specifications, systems costing, drawings, systems technical description etc. Manage daily interface between Team Leader, designers, Implementation Team and drafting.

Candidate Profile

General Skills and Abilities:

1)Preferably a Graduate with B. Tech / M. Tech Graduate in Engineering discipline specialization with Agriculture studies.

2)Knowledge of Irrigation system design with Hydraulics will be a must.

3) Fluent in using tools like MS Office and software\xe2\x80\x99s in regards to Irrigation system Design

4)Knowledge in AutoCAD software an advantage

5)Knowledge of micro irrigation industry preferred

6)A good influencer, Team Player, communicator and convincer

Responsibilities

Prepare Basic map for Design

Checking the Basic Data of Received project and if required prepare a list for additional Information Required.

Create the basic design Data in co-ordination with Draftsman.

Specify the irrigation systems\' parameters and Prepare Design in IrriCAD.

Make the Draft Design.

Assure the quality of the design based on system specifications and completeness of design.

Prepare Final Summery in MS Excel for Designed Project.

Prepare Bill of Material of Designed Project.

Prepare Final AutoCAD map

Final check of AutoCAD of Designed Project.

Prepare Project Technical description

Power point presentation for Different topics.

Filling Management Hours Daily and Monthly

Filling Daily Report

Submitting activity report to GDC Manager on monthly basis

Guide, communicate and provide the support to other designer while designing the project.

Any other roles as may be deemed fit, to be added or modified or removed, over a period of time.

Minimum Experience

Minimum 3 to 4 Years hand on Experience in a micro irrigation or pressurized irrigation systems design or equivalent engineering practices.

Maximum Experience*

Maximum 4 to 5 Years hand on Experience in a micro irrigation or pressurized irrigation systems design or equivalent engineering practices.
