Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Duty Assistant (GDA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care and ensuring a smooth operational flow within the healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist nursing staff in providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobilization of patients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to hygiene and infection control protocols. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff. Help patients with basic needs and ensure their comfort. Assist with the transportation of patients within the facility as required. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and support. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Completed training as a General Duty Assistant or a similar program. Proven experience as a GDA or in a similar role in a healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Knowledge of basic patient care practices and hygiene standards.
