Pre-Sales & Offerings Leader/Thought Leader- GCP Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Architect




Join a team of passionate thought leaders in a dynamic and collaborative environment! Cognizant's CIS Cloud Solutions Team is hiring now, and we're looking for our next GCP Cloud Pre-Sales Architect to join us. This is a full-time, permanent role with immediate start.

What impact will you have in this role?



You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic consultant who contributes to strategic pursuits and delivers GCP Cloud solutions for existing and prospective clients. You'll collaborate with Business Analysts, sales professionals, practice leaders, and client teams to design, and conceptualize GCP solutions, mapping them to common business problems, and industry pain points. You should be experienced in articulating architectural designs in written form and explaining complex concepts clearly to business stakeholders.

As a Deal Shaper, you will take part in shaping strategic pursuits, working across verticals and sales functions in a highly collaborative manner. Bringing people to your way of thinking while giving people a reputation to live up to. All based on extensive a deep understanding of GCP subject matter, at all levels of the technical stack.


Responsibilities



Map customer problems to GCP offerings and capabilities. Assist sales teams in consultative selling and strategic positioning of Cognizant's GCP value proposition. Partner with internal clients to explore options and define cloud transformation needs. Own the solution narrative and strategy for GCP pursuits, including hybrid-cloud, containerization, and data modernization. Design compelling, innovative, and competitive client propositions for GCP infrastructure, security, and AI/ML workloads. Participate in the full pursuit lifecycle, including qualification, solutioning, presentations, reviews, and deal closure. Collaborate with vertical leaders and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and profitability. Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and customer-facing presentations. Review cost models and ensure financial optimization of proposed solutions. Draft and review Statements of Work (SoWs). Provide thought leadership in GCP solutioning and educate teams on market trends and offerings. Collaborate with Google Cloud and internal partners to enable solution teams on emerging technologies.

Skills & Experience



Minimum 7 years of experience participating in the sales cycle of digital services. Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years focused on GCP. Experience in contributing to large deals sales (>$10M) involving multiple solution towers. Deep understanding of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Anthos. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven ability to learn new technology continually. Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders. GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred. Experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
