About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

GCP DevOps Lead Engineer

with 6+ years of expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and containerized deployments. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

, strong hands-on DevOps experience, and leadership skills to mentor teams and drive cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and management of

CI/CD pipelines

for cloud-based applications. Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. Implement

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

using Terraform/Deployment Manager. Set up and manage

Kubernetes (GKE), Docker

, and container orchestration. Ensure system

scalability, reliability, and security

. Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams for seamless releases. Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Drive

DevOps best practices

across automation, observability, and cloud adoption. Mentor junior engineers and manage a small DevOps team.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in

Google Cloud Platform (GCP services: GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, IAM, etc.)

. Proficiency in

CI/CD tools

: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar. Hands-on with

Terraform / Ansible / Helm

for automation and configuration management. Expertise in

Docker, Kubernetes (GKE)

, and microservices deployment. Scripting knowledge in

Python, Shell, or Go

. Strong understanding of

monitoring & logging tools

(Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, ELK). Familiarity with

Agile methodologies

and DevSecOps practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with

multi-cloud environments

(AWS/Azure + GCP). Knowledge of

service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)

. Exposure to

performance testing and chaos engineering

. Familiarity with

security tools

(Vault, Prisma Cloud, Aqua).

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Education

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications (

Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

) preferred.
