About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced

GCP Data Engineer

to design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions using

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data architectures, strong programming skills, and a passion for creating robust, secure, and high-performing data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development:

Build and optimize scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using

Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery

, and other GCP services.

Data Ingestion & Processing:

Design and develop solutions for ingesting, processing, and transforming structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.

Data Management:

Manage data storage and access with a focus on performance, scalability, data quality, and cost efficiency.

Cloud Architecture:

Architect and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions on

GCP

, aligning with industry best practices.

Security & Governance:

Implement and enforce

data governance, security policies

, and compliance across all data processes.

Support & Monitoring:

Deploy monitoring tools, troubleshoot performance issues, and provide L2/L3 support for cloud data systems.

Documentation:

Maintain clear and detailed documentation of data architecture, pipelines, workflows, and related procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Technical Skills:

GCP Expertise:

Proficiency in

BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, DataProc

, etc.

Programming Languages:

Strong coding skills in

Python

and

SQL

for data manipulation and automation.

CI/CD & DevOps:

Familiarity with

CI/CD pipelines

, Git workflows, and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Cloud Build.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Proficiency with

Cloud Monitoring

,

Cloud Logging

, and debugging tools to ensure uptime and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

GCP Certification (e.g.,

Professional Data Engineer

or

Cloud Architect

) Experience in data migration from on-prem or other cloud platforms to GCP Familiarity with

Kafka

,

Spark

, or similar distributed processing frameworks Exposure to

ML pipelines

and support for

data science workflows
