At FloData Analytics, we are looking for a driven and analytical individual eager to apply their cloud engineering skills in real-world, client-facing scenarios. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys translating data into meaningful insights and wants to see the direct impact of their work on business outcomes. As a GCP Engineer, you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to build and maintain scalable data workflows, monitor key performance indicators, and optimize operations through thoughtful analytics. You'll gain hands-on exposure to live projects across logistics and delivery networks, helping shape data-driven strategies and solutions that matter.

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Data Analysis & Reporting:



Monitor, analyze, and report on daily operational KPIs, focusing on delivery timelines, driver performance, package handling, and resource utilization. Provide insights into operational efficiency, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement related to driver performance, package delays, or route optimization. Design and maintain dashboards in BigQuery and visualizations in Tableau, providing real-time insights into operational performance.

Driver and Package Metrics Optimization:



Track driver-related metrics such as delivery speed, fuel efficiency, and on-time delivery rates, offering recommendations for performance improvements. Analyze package flow metrics, including package size, delivery times, delays, and customer feedback, to optimize delivery routes and package handling processes. Work closely with the operations team to monitor the quality and consistency of performance and identify trends that impact customer satisfaction.

Data Workflow Management & Automation:



Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP using tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, and Cloud Composer. Leverage Apache Airflow to create and optimize DAGs for automating operational workflows, including route scheduling, driver assignments, and performance tracking. Built and maintained automated workflows for data collection and processing across systems, ensuring minimal manual intervention while maintaining data accuracy. Develop automated checks to ensure data consistency across various sources and destinations.

Cross-Department Collaboration:



Develop ad-hoc reports for cross-functional stakeholders, helping drive decisions based on data insights. Support operations leadership by delivering operational forecasts, trend analyses, and data-driven recommendations.

Documentation & Best Practices:



Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes. Promote best practices in data engineering

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:



Regularly review operational performance data to identify trends, predict potential disruptions, and recommend improvements. Implement data validation, testing, and monitoring to maintain the integrity and accuracy of data throughout pipelines. Work with leadership to set realistic and measurable KPIs for both short-term and long-term operational goals. Continuously monitor GCP resources and Apache Airflow pipelines, ensuring cost-effective and high-performance operational solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:



The candidate should have experience between 3 to 5 years in the relevant field Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing data in BigQuery. Experience working with Apache Airflow to build and manage DAGs for workflow automation. Familiarity with Dataform for managing and transforming data pipelines. Knowledge of GCP tools and cloud-based analytics platforms. Strong ability to identify patterns, trends, and inefficiencies within large datasets and translate them into actionable insights Experience with data visualization tools like Google Data Studio or Tableau. Expertise in Excel and other data analysis tools
