GCP Data Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient data architectures that support business requirements and objectives. Create and maintain data models and schemas for new and existing applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Develop and maintain comprehensive data models that meet both current and future business needs. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across multiple systems. Lead the design and implementation of data migration strategies and processes. Oversee the development of ETL pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading. Design data warehousing solutions to support analytical and reporting needs. Utilize big data technologies to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition of data and applications to cloud platforms. Develop strategies for cloud data management, storage, and security. Analyze and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Implement best practices for database design, indexing, and query optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
Proven experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Strong knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or similar) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with database performance tuning. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, etc.). Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for data management and deployment.
