About The Job:

• Looking for a skilled and innovative BI specialist to develop and manage our business intelligence solutions.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong data modeling and visualization skills with expertise in advanced analytics, leveraging Generative AI and conversational interfaces to provide real-time, actionable insights to our stakeholders.
• This role will primarily use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including BigQuery, Looker, and Looker Studio

Essential Job Functions:

• BI development and data modeling
• Design, develop, and maintain data models in LookML to create a reliable and governed semantic layer.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries, primarily within

, to support data transformation and analysis. * Build and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Looker and Looker Studio.

• Translate complex business requirements into technical data specifications and scalable LookML models.
• Generative AI and conversational analytics
• Utilize Generative AI, integrated with BigQuery and Looker, to build conversational analytics agents.
• Enable business users to query data using natural language, helping them receive real-time, plain-language insights without extensive technical knowledge.
• Develop and configure conversational agents to provide rich, context-aware answers by leveraging the Looker semantic layer and BigQuery data.
• Use AI to provide automated insights, summaries, and narratives based on report and dashboard data.
• Manage user roles, content permissions, and access controls within the Looker environment to ensure data security and governance.
• Work with data engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and a robust data pipeline.
• Maintain and optimize Looker projects using Git for version control and adhere to best practices for development and deployment.
• Train and support technical and non-technical end-users to promote platform adoption and enhance data literacy.

Qualifications:

• Desired Experience Range 10 to 15 years

Must to have:

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and optimization.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining LookML models and projects.
• Extensive experience building dashboards and reports in Looker and Looker Studio.
• Solid understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts, with hands-on experience using Google BigQuery.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience in designing scalable and secure BI environments.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools and their application in data analysis and reporting.

Good to have:

• Data specific Hands-on experience in at least one GCP Data Services like BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow etc.
• Hands-on experience in implementing data pipelines that move data from source systems/databases to target datastores/databases
• Professional cloud certification with any CSP including AWS, GCP or Azure.
• "Expert in Databases CloudSQL, AlloyDB, Spanner etc.

Design and implement data migration strategies for various database types (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Alloy DB etc.) * Deep understanding of at least 1 Database type with ability to write complex SQLs

• Deep understanding of migrating databases using various methodologies, leveraging distributed data processing frameworks, including modern analytical and transactional data stores.
