Position: GCP Architect - Cloud and Data Engineering (CDE) Competency Center Location: Pune, Chennai, Nagpur, Bengalore Purpose of the Position: To provide client advisory, pre-sales, competency development, and delivery support for Infocepts cloud and data engineering competency center. The position enables Infocepts to meet its business goals by forging enduring practice-initiated solutions, supporting delivery teams with technical advisory and consulting, curating convincing proposals and providing future direction to the competency center through research. Key Result Areas and Activities: Thought Leadership - Build and share experience and exhibit thought leadership in the GCP Cloud and Big Data domain through various channels such as Yammer blogs, white papers, webinars, events, and conferences. Provide inputs on creating and enhancing enduring assets for the practice. Solutions and Sales Support - Support pre-sales activities including conducting discovery workshops, developing point of views/assets/scoping, writing proposals, and supporting sales and marketing enablement for GCP, Cloud and Big Data related technologies. Lead the asset development for practice. Consulting for New and Existing Clients - Provide advisory and consulting to new and existing customers, support delivery hand-offs, address unmet needs, and manage client expectations for their GCP, Cloud and Big Data technologies. Share and Build Expertise - Develop and share expertise in GCP, Cloud and Big Data technologies and actively mine the experience and expertise in the organization for sharing across teams and clients in the firm. Lead and support the GCP cloud practice with an organized meeting cadence. Create and maintain a vibrant cloud technology lab as a hotbed of technological innovation. Suggest ways and guide the COE as a capability hub for new technologies with due consideration of their usability. Participate and contribute to other cloud and big data centers of excellence. Nurture and Grow Talent - Provide support for recruitment, coaching and mentoring, and building practice capacity in the firm in GCP, Cloud and Big Data technologies. Work and Technical Experience: Desirable Skill : Experience in the data and analytics domain. Experience in designing GCP cloud architecture and operationalizing solutions around monitoring, alerting, logging etc. In-depth knowledge of key GCP services for data integration, BI and processing services including but not limited to GCP Dataproc, Cloud Console, Cloud Logging, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Composer, Data Catalog, Data Studio/Looker, Cloud Search, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc. Knowledge of GCP storage services such as Big Query, Firestore, Datastore, Memorystore, Cloud SQL Databases, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Bigtable, etc. Knowledge of Big Data ecosystems such as Hadoop / Hive, HDFS, Spark, YARN and others Experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Java Experience in enabling DevOps automation for GCP with appropriate security and privacy considerations. Knowledge of configuring and provisioning networks and infrastructure in the GCP cloud Expertise in developing ETL workflows comprising complex transformations like SCD, deduplication, aggregations, etc. Knowledge of integrating Cloud Identity platform with other services Good to Have: Knowledge of containerization services such as Dockers and its orchestration through Kubernetes Experience working with BI tools such as Microstrategy, Power BI, Tableau, and others Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, and others Expertise in Databricks Expertise in Snowflake Pre-sales and consulting experience Proven ability to work on multiple requirements, design, and development approaches and methodologies (agile, iterative, waterfall, etc.) Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master\'s degree is a plus) Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods At least 10 years of IT experience; Minimum 3 years of experience on GCP-related projects Qualities: Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes for a fast-growing team and firm Able to communicate persuasively through speaking, writing, and client presentations Able to consult, write, and present persuasively Able to work in a self-organized and cross-functional team Able to iterate based on new information, peer reviews, and feedback Able to work with teams and clients in different time zones Research focused mindset
