Requirements
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Gastroenterologist to join our healthcare team. This position is suitable for fresh postgraduates (DM/DNB in Gastroenterology) as well as candidates with prior exposure in the field. The role focuses on providing specialized care for digestive system disorders, including conditions related to the stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and biliary system. The selected candidate will work closely with senior specialists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care while gaining hands-on clinical exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Consultation

• Conduct consultations for patients with digestive, hepatic, and gastrointestinal disorders.
• Take detailed medical histories, assess symptoms, and perform relevant clinical examinations.
• Assist in preparing patient-specific treatment and management plans under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Diagnostics & Procedures

• Participate in diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, ultrasound, and related imaging tests.
• Support in evaluating laboratory results and imaging reports to arrive at accurate diagnoses.
• Observe and, under supervision, perform gastroenterology-related procedures as experience builds.
• Treatment & Follow-Up

• Support in prescribing medications and therapies for digestive diseases, liver disorders, and other gastroenterology conditions.
• Monitor patients' progress and ensure proper follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families about lifestyle modifications and dietary management.
• Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work closely with dietitians, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists to provide integrated care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and planning meetings.
• Research & Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with the latest medical research, innovations, and best practices in gastroenterology.
• Participate in clinical trials, case studies, or research projects as required.
• Attend conferences, training programs, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Patient Education & Preventive Care

• Counsel patients on preventive measures for gastrointestinal and liver-related diseases.
• Promote awareness regarding risk factors such as alcohol consumption, poor diet, obesity, and smoking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: MBBS with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience: Open to freshers (0 years) as well as candidates with initial hands-on exposure.
• Strong foundation in internal medicine and digestive system disorders.
• Basic familiarity with gastroenterology procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric approach.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and emergencies.
• Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and compassionate care.
