Job Description

Job Summary:

The Gas Filler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient filling, handling, and inspection of gas cylinders/tanks. The role ensures strict adherence to safety standards, operational protocols, and quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate gas filling equipment, valves, pumps, and related machinery. Conduct pre-filling inspection of cylinders including: Leak check Weight verification Valve condition check Hydrotest date & status confirmation Perform accurate gas filling as per prescribed standards. Conduct post-filling inspection including: Correct weight & pressure Leak test Safety cap fitting & sealing Maintain daily shift logs, filling reports, and operational records. Report any equipment malfunction, leakage, or abnormal activity immediately. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE usage, and fire-safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the gas storage and filling area. Assist in loading and unloading of gas cylinders whenever required.

Required Skills:

Good understanding of gas filling operations Knowledge of safety SOPs, PPE, firefighting basics Ability to operate weighing scale, pressure gauge, and filling equipment Strong attention to detail Physical fitness for handling cylinders Teamwork and communication skills

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: 10th / 12th pass 1-3 years of experience in LPG/Industrial Gas filling operations (preferred) Basic safety and equipment handling training required

Work Environment:

Industrial Gas Plant / LPG Bottling Plant Shift-based work (Day/Night) Mandatory PPE compliance

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
