The Gas Cutter is responsible for carrying out gas cutting operations on steel plates, pipes, and structural components used in shipbuilding and ship repair projects, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform gas cutting of steel plates, sections, and pipes as per drawings and work instructions.
Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and cutting layouts.
Ensure accurate cutting to required dimensions with minimal material wastage.
Follow safety procedures while handling gas cylinders, cutting torches, and related equipment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Gas Cutter in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication industry.
Knowledge of oxy-fuel cutting techniques and safety practices.
