The Gas Cutter is responsible for cutting steel plates, pipes, and ship structures using oxy-fuel cutting equipment as per drawings and production requirements, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform gas cutting of steel plates, sections, pipes, and ship structures.
Read and understand drawings, markings, and cutting specifications.
Operate oxy-acetylene / oxy-LPG cutting equipment safely.
Ensure accurate cutting dimensions and edge quality.
Carry out pre-heating and post-cut cleaning as required.
Follow shipyard safety rules, fire safety, and PPE guidelines.
Maintain cutting tools and report equipment issues.
Requirements:
ITI / Trade Certificate or relevant gas cutting experience.
Experience in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures for gas cutting operations.
Physically fit to work in shipyard conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
