Develop original clothing concepts based on trends, seasons, and market demand. Sketch designs manually or using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Analyze fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and market demands. Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, or study trend forecasting sites. Create seasonal collections with theme-based designs. Design garments for specific categories like men's wear, women's wear, kidswear, ethnic, casual, or formal. Work with pattern makers and tailors to develop sample garments. Select fabrics, trims, and accessories for each design. Review garment samples and suggest changes for a better fit or style. Coordinate fittings and finalize specifications.
