Gardener -
Role Purpose
To support the care and development of outdoor spaces by performing routine gardening and landscaping tasks. The gardener ensures plants and green areas are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing, contributing to a healthy and enjoyable environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant, water, prune, and care for flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
2. Prepare soil, apply fertilizers, and manage irrigation systems.
3. Control pests and diseases using safe and approved methods.
4. Operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and equipment.
5. Design and implement seasonal planting schemes and landscaping projects.
6. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas.
7. Monitor plant health and report any issues to supervisors.
8. Work safely and comply with environmental and health regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of plants, soil types, fertilizers, and pest control methods.
Ability to operate gardening equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, irrigation systems).
Attention to detail and creativity in garden design.
