Salary Range:

?18,000 - ?20,000 per month

Role Overview:

The Garden Maintenance & Nursery In-Charge will be responsible for the upkeep of all gardens and landscaped areas within VGP Heritage, efficient management of the nursery, and accountability for plant sales. The role demands hands-on horticultural expertise, leadership skills, and a strong sense of responsibility in maintaining plant health and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day garden and landscape maintenance, including lawns, trees, ornamental plants, and flowering beds. Plan and execute seasonal plantation, pruning, pest/disease management, and irrigation schedules. Manage nursery operations including propagation, grafting, potting, transplanting, and plant health monitoring. Maintain accurate nursery inventory and ensure quality stock for plant sales. Handle both retail and bulk plant sales with proper billing, stock movement, and revenue accountability. Train, guide, and supervise gardeners and nursery staff; assign daily/weekly tasks. Maintain detailed horticultural records, plant sales registers, and expense statements. Prepare reports and development plans for garden and nursery operations. Ensure sustainable, cost-effective horticultural practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, and nursery management. Ability to identify and manage plant diseases and pests. Leadership and staff management capabilities. Customer advisory and sales skills for nursery operations. Strong record-keeping, accountability, and reporting skills.

Accountability:

Overall upkeep and beautification of gardens and landscaped areas. Availability, health, and growth of nursery stock. Transparency and accuracy in plant sales and revenue. Achievement of nursery sales targets within allocated budgets.
