Deep understanding of basic economy balance and tuning
Knowledge writing clear and concise specs, user flows, and feature documentation
Knowledge of shipping at least 1-2 commercially successful games.
Strong knowledge of game mechanics, systems design, and level design.
Deep understanding of game economy design, user progression, and monetization models (F2P, ads, IAPs).
Proficient in Excel and project management
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Design and document core game mechanics, meta systems, and content loops.
Develop engaging level design, progression systems, and balancing.
Own the design vision from concept to implementation, collaborating closely with developers, artists, and producers.
Create detailed GDDs (Game Design Documents), UX wireframes, and design specs.
Build and iterate on prototypes to test new ideas and mechanics.
Balance gameplay mechanics to ensure fun, fairness, and challenge.
Tune game economies (virtual currencies, item pricing, rewards) for optimal player engagement and monetization.
Craft player-centric experiences, focusing on onboarding, tutorials, and progression.
Work with writers or narrative designers to align game story with mechanics.
Work closely with CXOs, developers, artists, and QA to ensure seamless implementation of features.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Interpret game analytics to refine systems and enhance KPIs like retention, engagement, and ARPU.
Run A/B tests and gather player feedback for data-driven improvements.
Use tools like Unity, Asset Stores, Blender, Maya, Photoshop, Adobe , Figma, Miro, Google Docs/Sheets, Trello/JIRA for design and documentation.
Maintain clear and organized design systems and change logs.
