The Global Cash Products (GCP) business, Settlement is a critical function. It consists of products such as OTC, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market. A typical day for the role holder would be to start the day with handling resource allocation in line with volumes, conduct huddles, and through the day monitor strict currency deadlines to ensure seamless settlement and handle authorization, continuously conduct supervisory controls and spot checks to ensure there are no SLA misses. The role holder will need to be cognizant of intra-day cut offs and lead team delivery. The individual is required to be an SME, and should be capable to multitask, handle conflicting priorities and swift decision-making. The role holder will also be responsible to handle first level escalation/ stakeholder engagement / drive project calls etc. The day will end with conducting close of day supervisory checks and sign offs

This role is an AVP position in Pune (India) within GCP (Global Cash Products) Settlement Team. The desired candidate should be comfortable working in an APAC shift. They should have robust experience and knowledge in Investment Banking Operations. The candidate should have a very strong control and risk.

Primary Responsibilities for the role would include but are not limited to the below:

Responsible and accountable for day-to-day processing e.g., Pre-matching, Fails, Confirmation, Settlements, Break Resolution etc.

Monitor Supervisory controls on day-to-day basis, managing issues, partner concerns and BAU issue remediation

Efficiently manage a team size of 4-6 staff. Lead, motivate, and develop teams to build a dedicated culture and improve the knowledge base, skills, talent and capability

Key primary issue contact for functional managers, internal and external clients

Responsible to manage escalations by liaising with the internal & external partners

Build and maintain governance of the functional team

Incident management \xe2\x80\x93 Visibility on control/process failures. Suggest and implement strong remediation action

Communication with Front Office, Trading Personnel and External Clients is a fundamental part of the role

Active participation in firm-wide critical initiatives including but not limited to identify operational improvements and efficiency opportunities in the daily workflow

Handle the Bank/Change the Bank Change initiatives.

The Cash Products team is aligned by Products i.e. OTC, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market. Each product is a sub-function which has a supervisor supported by analysts. The supervisor would report to AVP /VP leads.

Qualifications

Your skills include:

8+ years of Investment Banking experience Investment Banking experience in either product such as OTC, FX, Money Market, Securities, Asset Servicing, and Listed Derivatives

Excellent attention to detail, pro-activeness, excellent communication skills, risk/control-focused approach, and positive attitude

Professionally qualified MBA/ CFA and other equivalent post-graduation

Ability to lead and motivate the team. Manage performance and meet process SLA\xe2\x80\x99s

Ability to forge strong working relationships across departments in a global organization and experienced in dealing cross culturally

Proven ability to innovate, deliver and inspire change

Competent in process review and analysis abilities

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure

Strong control approach, analytical skills and high degree of accuracy is required

Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
