Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Carry out sofa and furniture upholstery work including cutting, stitching, and fixing fabric/leather. Repair, refurbish, and re-upholster old sofas and furniture as per design requirements. Install foam, padding, springs, webbing, and covers accurately. Read and understand sofa designs, drawings, and measurements. Ensure finishing, stitching alignment, and fabric fitting is neat and defect-free. Handle different materials such as fabric, leatherette, leather, foam, and accessories. Maintain tools and machines used for upholstery work. Follow quality standards and delivery timelines. Coordinate with supervisors and carpentry team for smooth production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience in sofa upholstery and furniture finishing. Knowledge of fabric cutting, foam density selection, and stitching techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good understanding of quality standards and workmanship. Physically fit and capable of handling workshop work.

Preferred Candidate:

ITI / Skilled Karigar (certification preferred but not mandatory). Experience in factory/workshop or site upholstery work. Willing to work overtime if required.
