Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative furniture pieces that balance aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, and manufacturability. The role involves designing and translating design concepts into high-quality finished products aligned with brand standards and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop furniture concepts from initial sketches to final production-ready designs Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using design software Research market trends, materials, finishes, and construction techniques Select appropriate materials, colors, textures, and finishes based on design intent and cost considerations Collaborate with engineers, craftsmen, and manufacturers to ensure feasibility and quality Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOM) Oversee prototyping, sampling, and testing to ensure design integrity Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and sustainability standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly design practices Experience working with vendors, workshops, or factories Basic understanding of costing and production optimization Strong communication and presentation skills Proven experience as a Furniture Designer or similar role Strong understanding of materials, joinery, finishes, and manufacturing processes Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar Excellent sketching, visualization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
