The Functional Product Owner will lead?business-driven digital initiatives?for?Commercial and Corporate Banking clients. The role focuses on?functional ownership of banking products and platforms, ensuring digital solutions across?customer onboarding, online banking, mobile banking, and self-service channels?deliver strong business value, regulatory compliance, and an enhanced client experience.
This is a?business-facing role, acting as the bridge between?banking stakeholders and technology delivery teams?within large-scale digital transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Product Ownership
Own the?functional vision, roadmap, and backlog?for Commercial / Corporate Banking digital products
Define and prioritize?business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Ensure alignment with?banking business goals, client experience, and regulatory requirements
Digital & Channel Transformation
Lead functional initiatives across?online banking, mobile banking, and self-service channels
Support?digital customer onboarding?journeys for corporate and commercial clients
Drive adoption of digital channels and straight-through processing
Banking Capabilities & Platforms
Provide functional leadership for?pricing & billing, fees, and product configuration
Support?knowledge management tools?and internal platforms for relationship managers and operations teams
Ensure consistency across channels and products in a global banking environment
Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration
Act as the primary interface between?business stakeholders, UX, technology, and delivery teams
Facilitate workshops, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and functional sign-offs
Support UAT and go-live readiness from a functional and business perspective
Consulting & Governance
Engage with senior client stakeholders and steering committees
Support consulting activities such as solution definition, estimations, and roadmap planning
Ensure adherence to?project governance, risk, and compliance standards
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years?of experience in?Commercial / Corporate Banking?within?global banks
Strong experience as a?Functional Product Owner, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst
Deep understanding of?digital banking channels?(online, mobile, self-service)
Experience with?customer onboarding, KYC, and client lifecycle management
Functional knowledge of?pricing & billing?and product configuration
Experience working in?Agile / SAFe environments
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field
Prior experience in a?business consulting or professional services firm?preferred
Preferred Certifications
CSPO / SAFe POPM or equivalent
Banking or digital transformation certifications (nice to have)
