Job Description


The Financial Reporting Group Manager is responsible for delivery of Financial, Client and Regulatory Reporting for Citigroup clients globally through the team of skilled resources based in Gurgaon.The primary service is the delivery of annual and semi-annual financial statements. There also exists a global implementation & support team that is currently building out the operating model for a new system on which regions will align their processing. The individual, along with the team supervisors, will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets all client and regulatory deliverables, effective operational controls are in place, the new system is seamlessly implemented and supported, and that process improvements are continuously identified and executed. Responsibilities: Overseeing and ensuring that all client reporting and regulatory deliveries meet agreed service level agreements. Allocating responsibilities to teams and maintaining the optimal team structure to service clients efficiently Developing and coaching the team through goal setting, regular one to ones and formal annual and semi-annual performance reviews Engage with onshore partners to develop and enhance cost effective solutions that meet client expectations and needs. Identifying opportunities for efficiencies and driving new developments and enhancements forward for the team. Assess new business viability against existing business capabilities and make appropriate recommendations Developing strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring that the onshore teams provide helpful and constructive feedback to the offshore team in the form of calls/issue logs to help keep accuracy levels high and quickly resolve issues. Collaborating closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that process risks are minimised. Keeping up to date on accounting standards and regulatory change. Evaluate risk and controls, including operational impact of changes in legislation, and ensure compliance to established controls. Monitor, set, and achieve established department goals during day-to-day operations as well as serve as point of escalation for complex issues and manage resolution of issues and new business requests Direct and participate in department and industry initiatives as well as support corporate governance and ethics Contribute to site wide and India level employee engagement and development programs to uplift the culture and working environment as well branding and image of Citi as an employer of choice. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
