Job Title: Executive - Fund Accounting & Operations

Location: Wadala

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Junior Executive - Fund Accounting & Operations will assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), supporting daily fund operations, reconciliations, and investor-related activities. The role offers exposure to end-to-end AIF operations, NAV computation, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fund Accounting Support

Assist in maintaining books of accounts for AIF schemes.

Record investment transactions, income accruals, and expense provisions.

Support in preparation of periodic NAV computation and valuation workings.

Maintain fixed deposit and investment schedules with updated market values.

2. Investor Operations

Support investor onboarding, KYC checks, and capital call/distribution processing.

Update investor data and capital account registers.

Prepare basic investor reports and summaries for review.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

Perform daily/periodic bank, custodian, and investment reconciliations.

Identify and report breaks or mismatches to the senior accountant.

Assist in preparing financial and operational reports for management and clients.

4. Compliance & Audit Support

Help prepare data for SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory filings.

Coordinate and provide documentation support for audits.

Ensure all fund activities follow internal SOPs and compliance requirements.

5. Process & Documentation

Maintain fund files, records, and supporting documents in an organized manner.

Support automation and data entry activities in fund accounting software.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Good knowledge of investment instruments (equity, debt, units, etc.).

Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting tools

Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external teams.

Educational Qualification:

B.Com / M.Com

Experience:

0-2 years of experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or financial accounting

Growth Path:

Opportunity to move to Senior Executive / Analyst role within 1-2 years based on performance and learning.

Exposure to complete AIF operations lifecycle -- fund setup, accounting, investor servicing, and compliance
