: Fund Accountant
Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Scope

The Fund Accountant Lead will be responsible for maintaining and managing thebooks of accounts for investment funds. This includes day-to-day accountingentries, NAV computation, financial reporting, tax calculations, compliance withfund documents, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have 3-5years of experience in the BFSI sector with strong finance and accounting knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Maintain Books of Accounts & Financial Statement Preparation

Oversee accurate recording of financial transactions including Contributions, Expenses, Income, Investments, and Divestments.

Prepare monthly financial statements: Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & LossStatement, Cash Flow Statement.

Manage day-to-day accounting entries and maintain Accrued Income and Accrued Expenses schedules.

2. NAV, Tax & XIRR Computation Compute Net Asset Value (NAV) on a class-wise and investor-wise basis as per business rules.

Perform tax computations: TDS, Advance Tax, Withholding Tax, Service Tax, Income Tax.

Compute XIRR (Extended Internal Rate of Return) for investment performance evaluation.

3. Compliance

Ensure accounting practices align with fund documents: PPM, Contribution Agreements, regulatory guidelines.

Coordinate with auditors and provide required support during audits.

4. TDS & Distribution Management

Compute TDS and file TDS returns in compliance with tax regulations.

Calculate investor distributions and allocate based on fund policies.

5. Client Interaction

Address client inquiries and provide accurate financial information.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders for smooth reporting and operations.

6. People Practices

Lead and guide the Fund Accounting team.

Ensure accuracy, timely completion of deliverables, and adherence to compliance standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
