The Functional Safety Manager and Quality Expert will perform safety activities in development projects according to IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 requirements. The role will manage or develop Functional Safety work products like Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments, Safety Concepts, SIL/ASIL assignments/decomposition, Functional Safety Management Plans, Requirements and Safety Requirements, FMEDAs, SFMEAs.
The Functional Safety Manager and Quality Expert will coordinate traceable project activities at software development and hardware development levels, lead functional safety analysis and reviews, and perform safety assessments and audits.
The FSMQE will work as part of a project development team, being a member of a global distributed Quality and Business Process Team with 10 colleagues and collaborate locally to the teams of Software Solution Services.
Background and Skills:
In order to be considered for this position, you shall meet the following criteria. Bachelors' degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable degree required. Masters' degree or PhD preferred
Passion for functional safety development processes in accordance with
IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 13849 or other comparable standards Good understanding of similarities between Standards for Development Quality, Functional Safety and Cyber Security
Strong knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment
Experience in design for Functional Safety or with Software Quality Assurance.
Background in embedded systems development is a plus.
Experience with a Requirements management software tools
Knowledge with tools like Polarion, MS Azure and Medini, as well as experience with AUTOSAR preferred
Knowledge and execution of software quality processes (e.g. CMMI, ASPICE);

Interlink with related Cyber Security Requirements and Organizations
Develop work products like Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessments, Safety Concepts, SIL/ASIL assignments/decomposition, FSM Plans, FMEDAs, SFMEAs
Provide design guidance to engineers for realizing SIL/ASIL certified designs
Ensure requirements traceability, completeness, coverage and evidence
Review test case specifications for safety requirements
Ensure Safety Verification and Validation activities (planning and execution)
Facilitate the use of the Danfoss PDP Trusted Process into development projects
Act as functional liaison with Customers and Certification Bodies
Coordinate verification and validation of functional safety requirements
Continues improvement as member of a global Quality and Business Process team
Continuous Improvement of the Trusted PDP Trusted
Support the Safety Culture growth in the organization
Support the implementation of process automation and DevOps tools
Support organizational compliance with CMMi and Automotive SPICE
The position reports to the Director of Development Quality, Functional Safety and Cyber Security.
