Job Summary This vacancy is within the Functional Safety Group in MCU/MPU Engineering group. Candidates with strong experience developing safety related work products are desired. Required: Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent. 7-15 years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety. Strong concepts in Micro-controller and Micro-processor Architecture. Good understanding of Hardware/Software development techniques following ISO26262 (or equivalent safety standard) development process. Hands-on experience in at least two safety compliant product development in developing Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept. Experience in Safety Analysis Techniques (FTA, DFA, FMEA, FMEDA) and related tools. Experience with Safety Audits/Assessments. Preferred: Experience in embedded system and software development. Experience in Safety Analysis Techniques (FTA, DFA, FMEDA, FMEA). Experience in Automotive Software Development and standards like Autosar. Experience in complex software development compliant to ISO26262: Part 6. Experience in Multi-threaded, multi-core software Experience in working with RTOS, hypervisors. Experience in System Level Modeling or Application development. Experience with Safety Audits/Assessments. Responsibilities: Develop and review Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept for various system and reference designs at NXP. Understanding all aspects of the technology, the architecture and the function of the product, to create a safety concept and context. Perform Hardware, Software and System level safety analysis. Review and develop IP, SoC and Software related Safety work products compliant to ISO26262. Participate in Safety Audits and Assessments. Support NXP Customers to use Safety work products developed by NXP Safety Team.
