About the role:




As a Functional Lead in the Donor Engagement Platform (DEP) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will independently serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, determine requirements, translate business needs into effective technical solutions, maintaining continuous dialogue with all teams to ensure robustness, accuracy and consistency.


By gathering requirements and facilitating cross-team communication between business and IT teams, this role directly contributes to PDT's ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.


This position will align to Functional Analysis chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of BA Lead is filled within Takeda ICC, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.

How you will contribute:



Lead and manage cross-functional teams spanning different role types and own end to end delivery Responsible for designing, solutioning, and planning the execution of projects Oversee broader teams covering multiple projects to ensure cohesive progress. Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines. Oversee definition and evolution of product roadmaps and ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. Drive a culture of innovation within the entire team by exploring and recommending technology-enabled solutions that enhance Takeda's product offerings and improve user experience. Establish and nurture a positive team culture Liaise with different stakeholders including the client / business owner, project manager, solution architect, developers, testers, validators etc. Understand the business justification for the product, client's vision and future scope Implement best practices for discovery and documentation. Collaborate extensively across the organization, keep abreast of industry trends, continuously learn and adapt to new tools and techniques, and contribute to process improvement efforts Ensure the project milestones are achieved on time and establish and nurture a positive team culture

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus 10-14 years of experience in business analysis, including leadership experience in life sciences or healthcare, with exposure to plasma-derived therapies or data-driven healthcare products. "Product mindset" essential to drive overall product value, empathise with user needs, and assess business impact to ensure the developed features align with larger product vision Experience working as Functional Lead / Product Owner incl. tools such as Jira, Confluence, MSSQL, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Figma Should have experience working in an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment. Understanding of requirements, use cases, and specification for features Familiarity with project management methodologies Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively Strong relationship building and team collaboration skills

Preferred requirements:



Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) Should have experience working with diverse teams including IT, product owners, Quality and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Good understanding of service portals, workflow automation and the platform and enterprise architectures
