We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in demand response tools and proficiency in data analytics preferably. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing demand response strategies while leveraging their analytical skills to derive insights from data sets. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, demand response methodologies, and a foundation in data analytic techniques is appreciable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand and work with meter data, grid assets, grid analytics along with specific projects concentrating on demand response strategies to optimize energy consumption and support grid stability.
2. Utilize analysis tools or work with power BI reports to monitor, analyze, and manage energy usage patterns.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into existing infrastructure and systems.
4. Conduct feasibility studies and assessments to identify opportunities for demand response optimization.
5. Conduct comprehensive analyses of energy consumption patterns and trends using advanced data analytics techniques.
6. Design and deploy monitoring systems to track energy consumption, system response performance, and related metrics.
7. Analyze data from various sources and databases to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Work closely with stakeholders to communicate findings, recommendations, and insights derived from data analytics.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to demand response and data analytics.
10.Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; master's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on demand response solutions.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and frameworks.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
Prior experience in the energy industry or utility sector is a plus.
