We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist In this role, you will: Develop (write), review and test product/system code Technical ownership of the product support including delivery of new features and operation of the production service Create design for engineers and stakeholders to evaluate and confirm technology design decisions Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure the code is accurate, efficient, safe, tested and follows the organization & industry best practices. Triage product issues (bugs, security, performance) by identifying the root causes and resolving them. Collaborates across functional areas to define, develop and ensure implementation of innovations to improve technical functionality in support of business needs & efficiencies Continuously evolve the agile and DevSecOps maturity of the team to \'Go faster, break less and Protect production\' Own and perform retros, OKR reviews and improve process for team under oversight Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Expertise in designing, developing, and operating of one or more applications Highly proficient in working in an agile way with a high empathy for continuous delivery and DevSecOps - must be able to do small, low-risk, high cadence change. Must be proficient in various application development concepts such as OOPS, functional programming, API development, code repository systems, database technologies, code analysis tools, collaboration tools and CI/CD Should have sound working knowledge of Java, J2EE, Oracle / MySQL / Postgre SQL, Git, REST API development, Python, DevSecOps, Repository management & production support Should have good working knowledge with various security methodologies like SAST, FOSS, DAST, Infra/Container security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Should possess good knowledge of at least one Cloud Computing platform Bachelor of Technology (or equivalent) degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, with exposure to corporate IT in agile environments, IT service delivery and process re-engineering under DevSecOps You\'ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
