Job Description

Own end-to-end feature development across backend services and a modern

frontend UI

. You'll build real-time, data-heavy web applications using

WebSockets, REST/GraphQL APIs, and an AWS-based containerized stack.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services and

APIs (REST & GraphQL).

Implement real-time features using

WebSockets.

Develop performant SPAs in

React or Vue

, including Canvas/WebGL overlays (rendering, hit-testing, drawing). Implement event-driven workflows with message queues/eventing (Kafka/RabbitMQ). Apply caching (Redis), background jobs, and rate limiting for scale and reliability. Ship to

AWS

with containers; ensure logging, monitoring, and alerting. Write automated tests (unit/integration/E2E) and participate in reviews and CI/CD.
Required Skills (must-have)

Backend

One of: Python, Node.js, or Go

Frameworks: FastAPI, Express (or equivalents)

GraphQL and REST API design

Datastores: PostgreSQL, MongoDB

WebSockets for real-time communication

Message queues/eventing: Kafka or RabbitMQ

Caching with Redis; background jobs; rate limiting

Containers with Docker; microservices architecture

Frontend

React or Vue.js

Canvas/WebGL (rendering, hit-testing, drawing overlays)

State management: Redux or Pinia

Build tooling: Vite or Webpack

E2E testing: Playwright or Cypress

Strong UI/UX sensibility for complex, data-heavy tools

Cloud (AWS) -- strong experience required

Deploying and operating services on

AWS

(e.g., ECS/EKS or Lambda, API Gateway/AppSync for REST/GraphQL, RDS for PostgreSQL, DocumentDB for MongoDB, ElastiCache for Redis, MSK for Kafka, S3/CloudFront, CloudWatch/IAM). Infrastructure as code and CI/CD on

AWS-centric pipelines.

Experience

4-10 years of professional full-stack development with production ownership in the stacks above (level flexible based on depth with AWS and real-time systems).
