The Full Stack Developer R&D will provide software design, development, and application support for Clario products whilst adhering to departmental SOPs.Clario is a 50+ year old company that delivers industry leading clinical trial endpoint technology solutions. From new trial modes to faster and integrated evidence and findings, our innovative clinical trial solutions mean we can unlock better evidence.The Senior Full Stack Developer will provide software design, development, and application support for the TAP (Trial Application Platform) for both currently released software and new features and functions. Tap is a SaaS web application and serves clients across the globe.We are a remote team creating web software to manage the different phases of clinical trials. Our team consists of experts working on the full life cycle of product development. We focus on flexibility; our platform allows almost any configuration, covering client needs without additional development efforts while following strict industry regulations. Doctors, nurses, managers, and many other roles all over the globe use our platform to manage clinical trials led by world-famous pharmaceutical companies.What You\'ll be doingWe are fully remote. This means you get to do your own schedule no matter the timezoneWe follow agile practices utilizing the scrum frameworkWe have around 12 developers, mostly fullstack (We encourage and give the resources and mentorship to learn a new stack)Feature development is done in cross-functional teams of up to 7 peopleApart from developing features for clients, we also keep up to date with the latest technologies by dedicating time to refactoringYou will be working on new and existing feature development to help evolve the platform to meet new business casesWrite testable and readable codeAdvocate for great UI and UXPerform code reviews to spread your knowledge and learn from othersDocument system behavior and do knowledge-sharing sessionsCollaborate with others on the team and suggest how we can work together betterCollaborate with the Product to find optimal solutions and break large projects into manageable releasable partsContinuously improve our code and product qualityUnderstand clinical processes and trials, using this knowledge to build better solutionsWhat we look forPrevious experience working as an Engineer/Developer, 5+ years of experienceDeep knowledge of Ruby and JavascriptDeep knowledge of Rails and ReactExperience writing meaningful tests for Ruby code (Rspec or Minitest)Experience writing meaningful tests for Javascript code (Jest and React Testing Library or Enzyme)Good communication skills and proficiency in both spoken and written EnglishAbility to find the balance between ideal code and working codeAbility to differentiate a badly designed system from a good oneExperience structuring projects and finding technical solutionsCuriosity and motivation to learn, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solvingJoin our team as we push boundaries and bring innovation to life sciences.
