About Mercy Mission
Mercy Mission (MM) is a coalition of 20+ NGOs based in Bengaluru that came together to fight Covid. MM works on the principle of humanity first. MM did many critical activities during Covid 1.0 (2020) & Covid 2.0 (2021). A city-wide helpline handled 40,000+ medical emergencies, food distress & counseling calls. MM distributed 139,000+ dry ration kits during Covid. MM NGOs & associates set up Mercy Kitchens to serve 16.5 lakh food packets & distributed 12.3 lakh food packets given by donors. In May 2020, MM distributed 2.85 lakh meals to 1.32 lakh passengers in 107 Shramik special trains leaving Bengaluru.
In April-June 20, under Mercy Angels MM ran the sole hearse service to transport Covid deceased in Bengaluru. It has handled 1500+ last journeys. MM operated a 48-bed step down hospital & assisted to setup 3 CCC facilities in Hassan, Kalburgi & Bengaluru.

About the internship
The Mercy Mission Fellowship Program is a year-long full-time experiential learning and exposure program in the social sector space, where Fellows get to experience working with civil society organizations and NGOs across areas such as livelihood, health, slum and rural development, mental health, sustainability, etc. helping design and implement effective solutions to pressing challenges at the ground level.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Be part of field immersion with different NGOs and the state government where they work on specific field projects for 10-12 weeks each
2. Look at an inquiry-based approach to each of the field immersion projects
3. Attend workshops/interact with luminaries from the social sector
4. Obtain mentorship and guidance from sector experts
5., Participate in the academic immersion designed to provide the fellows with theoretical aspects of social sector development and NGO space
Who can apply:
1. Those who completed graduation/post graduation
2. Between the ages of 20-28 years
3. Having prior experience volunteering or working in the social sector space
4. Having lead an initiative in college or at an NGO
