Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings and other structures. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, local regulations). Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, lighting, and power distribution systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and electrical emergencies. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical diploma or ITI certification in Electrical preferred. Valid electrician license or certification (if required by local law). Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a full-time electrician. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematic diagrams. Ability to use electrical testing and repair tools safely and effectively. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
