As a Full stack Performance Engineer you will be Building Intelligent AI/ML based Next Generation Performance Analysis Solutions, Performance Test Automation Solutions, enabling Enterprise Cloud Transformation, enhancing SAP SuccessFactors HCM as part of building an Intelligent Enterprise using latest and greatest cutting edge technologies including latest Opensource LLMs, Python, Django, Java, REACT, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins 2.0, ArgoCD, SAP HANA, Azure Cloud, SAP Cloud Platform, and a lot more.

As a Performance Engineer your job duties will include:

• Being a part of a Performance Engineering Team you will be working on SAP SuccessFactors top technical enterprise-wide priorities including Building of an Intelligent Cloud First Next Generation Performance Engineering Solutions using latest and greatest technologies including Containers/Kubernetes, Security, AI/ML, Microservices, Software Design Patterns.
• Lead Design & Development of full stack applications including frontend, backend, services, systems in (Java/Ruby/Python/Go Lang) as well as use GenAI LLMs to enhance capabilities where feasible.
• Write JMeter, Gatling scripts as well as Build solutions that will ideally auto-generate such Multi User Performance Test scripts.
• Enhance Performance Coverage of SAP SuccessFactors Products.
• Adopt the latest open source tools and technologies for use in SAP context.
• Dig into the analysis of various Product workflows and features to find Performance issues and Anti-patterns in an automated manner.
• Use latest and greatest technologies in Performance domain to create highly innovative solutions that can detect and report Performance issues with great efficiency.
• Apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.
• Be passionate about keeping up-to-date with latest technology and the technology for our products.
• Perform debugging, problem solving and resolve defects / bugs as required .
• Demonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant software tools and services.

Qualifications:

• 7+ experience as a Performance Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Strong expertise in performance testing tools, monitoring tools, and profiling techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or others.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong Performance Engineering concepts, knowledge of Performance KPIs.
• Experience in MUPT scripting using JMeter, Gatling, UI Performance Analysis frameworks such as Google Lighthouse, WPT.
• Experience in multi-threaded programming, Design Patterns, Exception Handling.
• Understanding of API design and RESTful principles.
• JavaScript / Node.js, REACT experience is a plus.
• Full Stack Design & Development Experience is a big plus.

We are SAP SuccessFactors Performance Engineering team and we work on some of the most exciting, challenging, and innovative technologies (AI/ML, Cloud computing (GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Containers, Python, REACT, Security, SAP HANA, Mobile Computing etc.) to help effect changes across the technology spectrum to solve the most important business problems at SAP SuccessFactors while ensuring our products deliver high performance. We provide thought leadership on some of the most challenging and important problems and are currently focused on Cloud Native Transformation of SAP SuccessFactors.

The goal of performance engineering is to ensure that software applications meet or exceed the required performance criteria, such as response time, throughput, and resource utilization, under various conditions and workloads. Key aspects of performance engineering include Performance Testing (Load Testing, Stress Testing, Capacity Testing), Performance Monitoring, Profiling and Tuning, Scalability Analysis, Architecture Optimization, Concurrency analysis, Caching Optimization, Code Optimization.
