Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a government-notified private skills university established under a State Act in Sikkim, dedicated to promoting quality skill education and entrepreneurship integrated with higher education. As a pioneering institution in the convergence of the skilling ecosystem with higher education, MSU aligns with the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP 2020). Recognized by the UGC and established in 2021, MSU collaborates with industries and Skill Development Institutes to offer work-integrated courses, embedding on-the-job internships and training within the curriculum. MSU is a recognized Awarding Body under the National Council for Vocational Education & Training (NCVET) and is empaneled with the Directorate General of Training (DGT). As an anchor university partner with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Project Management Unit (PMU) of NSDC International, MSU is committed to preparing youth for the future workspace by co-working with industry partners to design and implement demand-driven programs.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has launched the WISE initiative to enhance employability and support job creation by equipping individuals with industry-relevant theoretical knowledge and on-the-job training. Role Overview

This role calls for a full-stack problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. As a Full Stack Engineer at MSU, you will be responsible for building modern web applications using Next js, developing scalable APIs with Node js, and creating beautiful, responsive user interfaces with Tailwind CSS. You will be at the heart of our product infrastructure, enabling seamless learning experiences for thousands of students while ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Key Responsibility Area

1.

Frontend Development and Ul/UX Implementation

Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using Nextjs and React Create pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs using Tailwind CSS Implement modern UI patterns, animations, and interactive components Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability using Nextjs features (SSR, SSG, ISR)

.Backend Development and API Design

Develop robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs using Nodejs and Express/Fastify Build serverless functions and API routes within Nextjs framework Implement server-side logic, middleware, and data processing workflows Design and maintain clean, modular code architecture following modern JavaScript/TypeScript best practices

3.Database Management and Integration

Design and maintain database schemas using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

+

Implement efficient data queries and optimize database performance

+

Work with modern ORMs/ODMs like Prisma, Mongoose, or TypeORM

+

Handle database migrations and version control

4.Authentication and Security

+

Implement secure authentication systems using NextAuthjs, JWT, or OAuth providers

+

Manage user authorization and role-based access control

+

Ensure security best practices including input validation, XSS/CSRF protection, and data encryption

+

Maintain compliance with data protection and privacy regulations

5.System Integration and Third-Party Services

Integrate payment gateways, CRM systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other third-party APIs Work with cloud services (AWS, Vercel, Netlify) for deployment and scaling Implement real-time features using Web Sockets or Server-Sent Events Handle file uploads, processing, and content management

6.DevOps and Performance Optimization

Support Cl/CD processes using GitHub Actions, Vercel deployments, or similar tools Monitor application performance and user experience metrics Implement caching strategies and optimize bundle sizes Write comprehensive tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress Debug and troubleshoot issues using modern development tools

Qualification & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience: 3+ years of full-stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in Next js, React, Node js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) Styling: Expert-level experience with Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL (preferred), and microservices architecture Database: Experience with both SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases Version Control: Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows Cloud & Deployment: Familiarity with Vercel, Netlify, AWS, or similar cloud platforms Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks Optional but Valuable: Basic understanding of PHP/Laravel (helpful for legacy system integration) Bonus: Prior experience in building or maintaining Ed-tech platforms is a strong advantage Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and security-conscious mindset

Technical Skills We're Looking For Must Have

Nextjs 13+ (App Router, Server Components, API Routes) React 18+ (Hooks, Context, State Management) Nodejs and Express/Fastify Tailwind CSS and responsive design TypeScript (preferred) or advanced JavaScript Modern database technologies (Prisma, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) Git version control and Agile workflows

Nice to Have

Experience with state management (Zustand, Redux Toolkit) Serverless functions and edge computing Real-time applications (WebSocket, Socket.io) Docker and containerization GraphQL and modern API patterns Performance optimization and Core Web Vitals Basic PHP/Laravel knowledge for legacy integration
