Your role

Do you have a knack in turning complex requirements into simple designs? Are you a master of Oracle /Java / UI Frameworks? Are you passionate about bringing systems to life, and have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate?

• develop the database-layer of a large-scale rich internet platform in collaboration with business analysts, web developers and quality assurance (QA) professionals
• keep a sharp focus on database design, security and performance
• you are equally experienced with mid-tier Java skills to develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC), unit and integration testing components with end to end flows across larger subsystems
• identify and resolve design and query performance issues on multi-billion row database applications
• produce optimized dimensional database designs to support hundreds of users querying millions of transactions at performance ranging from minutes down to sub-second

Your team

The IB IT Advisory Research & CRM team is part of the IB IT function and is dedicated to Corporate Center within the UBS Group. The team is responsible for a broad range of applications across data, analysis, CRM, Research Publishing and Marketing. Our role is to develop data warehouse applications for several thousand Sales and Research staff deployed globally across the Investment Bank

Your expertise

• oracle sql
• exposure to oop based ui frameworks - angularjs/reactjs/nodejs and bootstrap
• clear concepts on html5, css3, javascript, jquery
• excellent server side java, spring ioc framework, restful api skills
• exposure to web application, deploying jar /war on web container servers such as tomcat, jboss
• unix scripting and maven, nexus deployment tools
• know-how of agile development practices (scrum, xp, pair programming etc.)
• good to have - html5, css3, javascript, open-source libraries, tools and technologies including d3, nodejs, react and redux
