About the Project:

We are launching a

multifunctional web portal

focused on the Indian construction and infrastructure industry. The platform will serve as a centralized solution for:

Hiring licensed contractors across specializations (civil, electrical, plumbing, etc.) Posting and finding jobs in infrastructure and construction Listing subcontractors and suppliers Offering construction software tools, templates, and services
You will be responsible for end-to-end development of this platform as a

solo full-stack developer

working in close coordination with the project lead.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement the

complete architecture

for a modular, scalable web application Develop and integrate key modules: Contractor registration & profile management Job board with resume/application handling Supplier and subcontractor directory Admin dashboard with role-based access control Build user-friendly interfaces for mobile and desktop Implement secure login, password management, and form validation Integrate email notifications and basic analytics Deploy and maintain the application on a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean) Participate in weekly meetings and status reviews with the project lead

Preferred Technology Stack:

Frontend:

React.js / Next.js / Vue.js

Backend:

Node.js (Express) / Django / Laravel

Database:

MongoDB / PostgreSQL / MySQL

DevOps:

Git, Docker, Nginx, Linux, CI/CD pipelines

Optional:

Experience with REST APIs, Razorpay/Stripe integration, file upload, PDF generation, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience 0-2 years of professional web development experience Ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables Strong understanding of clean code, debugging, testing, and deployment Fluent in English or Hindi (communication with team lead)

Desirable Skills:

Prior work in construction-tech or job portal platforms Experience designing database schemas and scalable APIs Knowledge of UI/UX tools like Figma or Adobe XD Basic SEO optimization and performance tuning
