The Opportunity:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing team in a hybrid role based in Mumbai. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with a strong understanding of modern web development and cloud technologies to play a crucial role in building and scaling our platform. You'll have the chance to own projects from conception to delivery, working closely with the founders and contributing directly to the success of Meru Life. This is also a growth-oriented role, with the potential to lead and build a team as the company expands.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable full-stack web applications.

Work with a diverse technology stack, including but not limited to Shopify, ReactJS, NodeJS, and WordPress, to build and maintain our online presence and core platform.

Leverage the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem and occasionally other cloud ecosystems to build, deploy, and manage our infrastructure and applications.

Explore and experiment with various Generative AI tools

and understand their technical workings, identifying opportunities for integration and innovation within our products and processes.

Take ownership of projects, from understanding requirements to ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Collaborate closely with the founders to define technical requirements, architecture, and implementation plans. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack. Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards within the team. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and evaluate their potential application at Meru Life. Embrace a startup environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What You'll Bring:

Experience:

5 to 8 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.

Full Stack Expertise:

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with full-stack web development, including front-end technologies like ReactJS and back-end technologies like NodeJS.

E-commerce Proficiency:

Experience working with e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify, including custom theme development, app development, and API integrations.

Content Management Systems:

Solid understanding and experience with WordPress, including theme development, plugin customization, and content management best practices.

Cloud Expertise:

Hands-on experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.

Gen AI Awareness:

A strong understanding of the technical workings of Generative AI and experience playing around with various Gen AI tools and APIs. You should be curious about exploring how Gen AI can be leveraged.

Self-Starter Mentality:

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

Ownership and Accountability:

A strong sense of ownership and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Startup Mindset:

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a willingness to wear multiple hats.

Location:

Must be based in Mumbai and willing to work in a hybrid model.

Bonus Points For:

Experience with other relevant technologies or frameworks. Contributions to open-source projects. Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL). Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
