Consults with product manager to identify minimal viable product and decomposes features by story slicing.
Design and Develop ingestion capabilities for structured data in Google Cloud Platform.
Curate data products based on functional requirements.
Take end to end ownership including troubleshooting and debugging product enhancements.
Familiarity with Data Factory processes.
Use of Test Driven Development and code pairing practices.
Continuously integrates and deploys developed software; modify CI/CD pipeline and scripts as necessary to improve continuous integration practices (Terraform, Jenkins).
Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing and deployments.
Responsibilities:Work on a Portfolio Engineering Portfolio Team based in Chennai to deliver curated data products and perform end to end Full stack Data engineer role. Work effectively with fellow data engineers, product owners, data champions and other technical experts. Demonstrate technical knowledge and communication skills with the ability to advocate for well-designed solutions. Develop exceptional analytical data products using both streaming and batch ingestion patterns on Google Cloud Platform with solid data warehouse principles. Be the Subject Matter Expert in Data Engineering with a focus on GCP native services and other well integrated third-party technologies.Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters in Engineering
5+ years of experience in IT application delivery with proven experience in agile development methodologies
1 to 2 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCS, DataProc, Big Query, Composer, Data Processing like Data Flow)
Ability to work well in a collaborative, agile development team with business and development partners
Understanding of Agile, DevOps, TDD, and clean coding principle
Understanding of relational database, ETL, or flat file processing concepts
Strong team player who is willing to learn, share, teach and lead depending on the situation
